Another innovation studio of China Copper Industry wins provincial title

Recently, the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions decided to name Xu Chengdong's innovation studio as the second batch of "Yunling Craftsman Innovation Studios." This is another honor for China Copper in the construction of the industrial workforce in the new era, following the naming of Geng Jiasheng's innovation studio as the first batch of "Yunling Craftsman Innovation Studios" by the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions in 2018. China Copper has also become the only unit in the province to have 2 "Yunling Craftsmen" and 2 "Yunling Craftsman Innovation Studios."
It is understood that since the launch of the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions' "Yunling Craftsman" selection activity in 2016, it has attracted much social attention. Based on strict review procedures, the activity selects industry elites with special skills, mastery of superb skills, leadership roles, and outstanding contributions, embodying the quality of craftsmanship. Two selection activities have been held so far, naming a total of 29 "Yunling Craftsman Innovation Studios."
Xu Chengdong is the workshop director of the smelting workshop at Yunnan Chihong Resources Comprehensive Utilization Co., Ltd., He has been engaged in lead smelting for 23 years and has been working at the Isa furnace for nearly 13 years. Over the years, he has diligently studied, been brave in practice, and constantly innovated. He has not only demonstrated superb lead smelting technology but also shown the spirit of model workers and craftsmen who are unafraid of difficulties, strive for perfection, and pursue excellence. He has become a key figure in overcoming the difficulties of lead smelting in Isa furnaces, making positive contributions to improving the economic efficiency of the enterprise and showcasing the style of Chinese lead smelting industry workers. In recent years, Xu Chengdong and his team have devoted themselves to research in the process of participating in multiple projects, and have proposed good solutions to technical problems such as excessively high slag lead, short gun life, high dust rate, and furnace body shaking during the smelting and reduction process. At the same time, Xu Chengdong uses the studio as a platform to teach by precept and example and actively take on apprentices. He and his team have organized and implemented more than 10 innovation projects, obtaining 5 national patents and authorizations.
Steady progress promotes high-quality development of the non-ferrous metals industry
Summary: On January 26, the first "Online Metal Week" of 2022 and the seminar on futures markets assisting the high-quality development of the non-ferrous metals industry, hosted by the Shanghai Futures Exchange, were successfully held. Non-ferrous metal industry professionals and futures market experts reviewed and looked ahead at the performance of the non-ferrous metals market, and conducted detailed analyses of the nickel and tin markets, which have recently attracted much market attention. Both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on measures for futures markets to serve the high-quality development of the non-ferrous metals industry.
